My friend’s son was killed in Afghanistan on October 22. As I write this, she is meeting the plane that brought his body back to the States.
Her son laid down his life for others for others. For his country.

Oh, my heart! You are right. Our words sometime fail. Praying God’s Word, the only Word that does not fail, over you and your friend, Beth – that you will be a conduit of God’s love and comfort in these difficult days. XOX
So true, Beth. Continuing to pray.
You are right, sometimes there are no words. I send love. ~ Wendy
No words…but tears. I’m so, so sorry for your friend and her whole family. Praying…
And also praying for you and Rob, as you mourn with and reach out to your friend.
Praying…

As a parent my heart is crushed to think of Scoti’s pain. May the Lord continue to uplift and hold her and her son’s young family… She is in our prayers.
Heartbreaking. Praying. Loving.
Beautifully said, Beth. Praying and asked my Sunday School class to pray.
I am praying for your friend. I’m so sorry.
Wow, no words indeed. Praying…
Last year my friend’s adult son was killed in a freak bike accident on October 22. I’ll remember both in prayer, knowing the pain of the year that lies before them.
