By the time you read this post, I’ll be in Seattle.
Spring break — a great time to go someplace, right? And since my son Josh moved to Seattle last October, that sounded like a great place to visit. I’ve never been to Seattle and I’m ready to explore my son’s new hometown, rain or shine. (And I understand there will probably be rain.)
There are other places I’d love to visit some day.
- I’d love to go back to Venice. The last time I was there my first three kiddos were little.
- Hawaii? Yes, that’s on my travel wish list too.
- Australia? I’ve wanted to go there since I was a teenager.
- And one day I’d love to see the redwood trees in Oregon.
I have to admit, I like the “everywhere” attitude encompassed in today’s quote. Why not aim to travel to everywhere and see just how far you get?
In Your Words: Today’s post is short and sweet, written in the midst of housecleaning and laundry as I prepare for my trip. Are you traveling anywhere soon? What locations are on your travel wish list?

Have a great trip! Heading to the original Starbucks?
I would love to visit London, Australia and the many lovely places in the US that I’ve yet have the pleasure of visiting.
Safe and fun travels!

We visited the original Starbucks this afternoon, after completing the Underground Tour! 🙂
You will love Seattle! I went there in 2009 (can it be 7 years ago??), and loved it. It was in May and I walked everywhere or rode public transportation. Be sure and get to Pikes Market!

Pat: We’ve been to the market twice now and may go again tomorrow before we fly out. We’ve had blue skies today, which is rare for this time of year!
I love Seattle! Don’t miss the aquarium and a ride on the ferris wheel and the Chihuly gardens! And if you can squeeze it in, a ride on one of the ferries, just for fun. Enjoy the time with your son!

We’ve seen some of the Chihuly sculptures around town, although my husband and the girls opted for lunch atop the Space Needle instead of the museum.
Reminds me a a Frank Sinatra song, “Cycles”. One stanza…thus –
I’ve been many places,
maybe not as far as you.
So I think I’ll stay awhile
and see if some dreams come true.

Thanks for sharing those lyrics, Andrew.
Husband and I in Italy at the moment, enjoying family. Taking grandson to football practice and grocery shopping. Still, it counts as travel!

Kathleen: I’ve been to Italy — years ago. We visited friends in Aviano. It was beautiful there. We also visited Venice, which I would love to go back to some day.
Now that’s my kind of quote & I try to fulfill it. Somehow I really do love almost everywhere and as you know very much enjoy discovering the wonderful uniqueness and riches of each place and people. And then I think they are a dim and poor foreshadowing of all ongoing eternity and those wonderful words, “world without end.”
