Some days are weights … and others are stepping stones … and still others disappear before I even grasp “What happened?”
I’m aiming for something … so many things … and I don’t want to miss what’s right here, now, because I just may find this moment was the most important thing of all.
Sometimes I dream when I’m asleep (yes, in color — what about you?). And sometimes I dream with my eyes wide open.

Considering the options, I chose years ago to be an optimist, and God has been good to give me a person with many interests, so each day I look forward to some project goal with excitement, always planning more than can actually be accomplished in one day–so the process continues.

” … always planning more than can actually be accomplished in one day …”
And you’re good with that.
And that helps me know I should be too.
🙂
I’ve always had a dream before me. Now that I’m living that dream, my goal is to complete it in such a way that it honors God. And I dream in plain old black and white.

But before there was color TV and movies, there was black and white, right?
So black and white made the way for color …
I dream in color too. 🙂
What dream pulls me into the future? A couple dreams actually—that my boys will walk closely with God as teens and adults, and that I might one day be published. It’s a one-step-at-a-time, daily walking out in the present that leads me to the future, and dreams coming true. I’m trying to live in the present even as I think about the future.

And that’s the delicate balance: living in the preset as we dream about the future.
I dream in color. Which is sometimes fun, as I get the colors wrong (and now I know where purple cows come from).
I’ve had, and sometimes lived, a succession of dreams. The only one that’s come close to matching the reality is the dog sanctuary, I think because it was oriented outward.
The dreams that were about me were limited by the boundaries of mind, heart, and soul. Looking outward, they’re open to the sky, and can rise to God’s presence.

I think it’s great that you dream in color and get the colors wrong. Who knows — maybe in your dreamworld the colors are absolutely right?
That would be cool!
Beth, yes I dream in color. At least, most of the time. Sometimes it’s that cool black-and-white-movie feel to it.
What dream pulls me into the future? There are a few, actually.
Living in eternity with God is the most important one.
Marrying the best friend God’s planning on giving me is another dream that’s been dear to my heart since the fourth grade.
Having at least one of my books published is another point of focus for me.
One of these days–or three separate days, as the case may be–these dreams will become realities, if it’s in alignment with God’s will. I’m looking forward with hope to all three events.
Blessings.

Aligning our dreams with God’s will, that’s the most important element.
